Polk Audio Customer Service Driver In TheRecently, I had some issues with my receiver that caused the driver in the right speaker to start sounding funky, making me think the speaker blew.I called Polk, and a real live person, with good knowledge of speaker troubleshooting, answered right away. He had me do a couple things with the speakers to confirm the problem, then told me he would ship me a new main driver, and a tweeter just in case. I told him there was no need for the tweeter, but he insisted--and said not to worry, it was going to be free. He took my address, and told me to expect the parts in 3-5 business days. And I got the new parts yesterday, and my system is up and running again Anyway, if anyone read this, I just felt like I had to relay how awesome this experience was. Its amazing to actually call a company, talk to a real person, and have them solve your problem with virtually no questions asked. Polk Audio Customer Service Cracked On PSW505Foam cracked on PSW505 and they agreed to send me a refoam kit even after warranty. I had a pair of Monitor 70s that a tweeter blew on and can confirm their customer service is exceptional. Spoke to a real person who was knowledgeable and they sent me out a new tweeter right away and gave me a tracking number. No jumping through hoops or RMA or sending them the old part. When I called for the second one, he threw in a crossover for free, just in case. All this for speakers I bought off Craigslist with no paperwork EDIT: Ive also had positive experience with Definitive. It turned out they no longer stocked the part I needed, but the customer service rep was as helpful as he possibly could be. Polk Audio and Definitive Technology are both owned by Sound United, a division of DEI Holdings, so thats not surprising. Likewise, its not surprising that some of their product lines are become pretty similar, with DefTech usually being the higher end version. Polk doesnt make my favourite speakers of all time, but good customer service is something I can stand behind level 1 Emotiva XMC-1, DIYSG HTM-12s Volt 10s, 4 x DIY 15 subs 1 point 4 years ago Thats pretty sweet. When I emailed them regarding a replacement amplifier for my fried DSW MicroPro 1000 I was quoted 600 to replace it. I guess they are just super helpful with cheap stuff. Oh well. level 1 1 point 4 years ago I cant believe the timing of your post The exact same thing happened to me at the end of last week. Called Polk and they very kindly offered to ship a new tweeter that solved the problem. However, Im wondering if there might be a pattern of problems with these speakers, since it seems to be a common problem with Polk. Its comforting to hear that if anything happens to them, Polk has my back level 1 1 point 4 years ago Ive also had awesome customer service from them aswell.
